  1. How does online therapy work?

    Online therapy, also known as Telehealth, takes place using a HIPAA compliant video platform. My services are all provided over Zoom. You will need to download the zoom app if you are planning to meet via smartphone or tablet. Before meeting, you will be put in a waiting room which is a security feature so nobody can join your session unless I allow them in. Once you join the meeting, you will connect to audio and video in order to start the session, and then we will get started.

  2. How long are therapy sessions and how frequently will we meet?

    Therapy sessions are booked for 45 mins. I will give you a 10 minute time check towards the end of session so we can make sure to get through everything we need to. You will decide the frequency of when we meet. I typically offer weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly appointments; however, I am a open to a different schedule depending on what works best for you.

  3. Is there anything I need to do before my first appointment

    Before your first appointment I will send you a secure email with the electronic version of all intake paperwork I need. You will need to consent to treatment before we begin.

  4. How do I pay for sessions?

    All payments are billed to a credit card on file on the day of your appointment. I use a secure payment system, Ivy Pay, which was specifically created for online therapy. Before your first appointment, Ivy Pay, will text you a link to put in a credit card and will then keep it on record for subsequent appointments. I will never have access to the credit card number.

  5. What are your hours to meet? Hours in case of emergency?

    I offer a variety of times to meet with my clients. Typically Monday through Thursday between 10am - 6pm. Evening and weekend appointments are available with limited slots.

    For current, open clients, you will be given information on how to reach me in case of emergency and when to expect a return call.

  6. How do I set up a session?

    If you are interested in scheduling a session. I recommend reaching out to schedule your free 15 minute consult. From there we can plan next steps.

  7. Is there a cancellation policy?

    I require a 24 hour notice to cancel an appointment with no charges. If there is a canceled appointment on the day of, or a no-show, I will bill the full session fee.
