Meet your Therapist: Mandi Robinson, LICSW
Welcome to Wellness for Women, LLC
I am Mandi, and I welcome the opportunity to get to know you and help you with any challenges or issues you might be facing.
Whether you are trying to conceive, coping with a loss, currently pregnant or in the postpartum period, I understand the wide range of issues that can arise and I am here to help you feel better.
My approach to therapy is based on the fact that we are all unique individuals and what works for one person will not necessarily work for the next. As we work together, I will build a treatment plan with you at the center. My style of therapy is warm, gentle, strength-based and solution focused. I will not tell you what to do, but instead give you different options for you to identify what would be most helpful. I feel strongly that you are the expert of yourself, and only you know if something will be helpful or not.
I have experience working with women, children and families, but my passion is helping women overcome everyday life struggles that are specific to motherhood, and their journey trying to get there. Therapy is not a quick fix, and it can take some time to start to see and feel the benefits of it. I will be here for you each step of the way. I very much enjoy working with my clients and getting to know how we can slowly start to improve different aspects of their life.
I believe one of the most important parts of therapy is that you are comfortable with me, otherwise you will not get what you need from our work together. If at any time during our process you feel that my methods, or my style, are not the right fit for you, please do not hesitate in letting me know, as I can work to find you a more suited therapist for your needs. My primary goal is to make sure you to get the appropriate services and supports to help you heal, grow, and change.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University in Waltham, and then completed my Master’s Degree in Social Work from McGill University in Montreal. I have been independently licensed as a social worker in the state of Massachusetts since 2013. I have spent over 10 years of my career working in community mental health with children and families facing a variety of day to day challenges.
